The current situation regarding Venezuela and the stated intentions of the U.S. is the most blatant  in-your-face example of imperialistic intervention one can imagine. And yet, so many people, maybe even a majority want us to do something. It demonstrates the power of the media to influence the public. While the media pundits cry and wring their hands over the economic plight of the Venezuelan people, no one seems to realize that the U.S. has maintained economic sanctions against Venezuela for a long, long time. There is also plenty of chatter on the internet where the uninformed have a simple explanation: It is socialism vs capitalism, that’s all folks.

It doesn’t take much research to learn about Venezuela’s recent history. Chavez was first elected in Feb 1999. During his second term, Jan 2001- Jan 2007, Chavez nationalized the oil companies. The government introduced a new Hydrocarbon Law which gave the Venezuelan oil company (PDVSA) 51% control. The big oil companies of the U.S., Britain, and France could no longer claim the bulk of the oil revenue. Adding insult to injury, Chavez did a lot of economic and cultural exchanges with Cuba. And Maduro has apparently maintained many of the same policies. You can’t defy the “MAN’ and get away with it for long.

Sanctions were imposed on Venezuela as far back as March 2015.  This month, February 2019 the U.S. announced more sanctions targeting the Venezuelan oil industry with the intent to destroy it.
In the following video John Bolton, Trump’s National Security Advisor, explains how we will get the oil back in our hands by creating a situation where the big oil companies can once again invest in Venezuela. LOL.

The actions here are right out of the old Deep State playbook. First employ economic sanctions in the hope that the  people become so miserable that they rise up and overthrow the government, add to that plenty of anti-Maduro propaganda for the Venezuelan people and the American people as well. I’m not denying that poor economic decisions by the socialist government may have contributed to the crisis but sanctions do not help. Of course, they are not meant to help.
Then throw in a new revolutionary leader, maybe even groomed by the CIA, and recognize him as the new President and if all that doesn’t work——-> military action will.

We are doing the exact same thing in Iran. We did a variation of the plan in the Ukraine.

These are pictures of purportedly pro Maduro rally crowds. Who can be sure these days but he certainly has some supporters.

So the current situation vis-a-vis the U.S and Venezuela begs the question: Is Donald Trump really a peace president??

And what the hell is wrong with our Congress ??

Who is Juan Guaidó, the man the U.S. has APPOINTED as the new President ?? (looks like President Obama !)

Burning Aid: Apparent Deception on Colombia-Venezuela Bridge

The “humanitarian aid” on the bridge fiasco was a joke. We knew Venezuela would not accept it. If we were truly concerned about the welfare of the Venezuelan people, the supplies could have been given to one of the countries who are currently aiding Venezuela or the Red Cross.
