You’ve got to admit, Russia has to be feeling pretty low after being on top of the enemies list for so long and now ranked second or third. I think they earned the top spot sometime after WW1 when Communism took over and Russia became the Soviet Union. That’s a long time but finally they have been toppled. Now it’s China, or is it Iran. Of course Russia is never totally out of it because we get these reinforcing reminders every now and then, like Russia-gate or Russian bounties on American troops or the imminent invasion of Ukraine by Russia. Nevertheless, at this time, China is number 1 on the horrible, evil, enemies list.
It seems that China’s rise to public enemy #1 began with President Trump. He was always ranting about how China was beating us and “eating our lunch”. All of which may be true but it has since morphed into more than a commercial competition and China is a dangerous enemy according to the Media. I guess we have to get Americans into the right frame of mind in case we want to start shooting.
The anti-China babel is the usual propaganda meant to get our minds right for eventual conflict as has happened in EVERY war we have ever engaged in. We always have plenty of time to plan our wars because they are never defensive. The Department of Defense (DOD) should be called the DOO (Department of Offense).
