There has been a war against religion in the USA and it has been going on for a long time. This, in spite of the fact that we have been a predominately Christian nation since the beginning and probably still are. Yes, we still have “freedom of religion” but it seems that it is only good behind four walls, as in the church or home. It must be hidden, never to violate public space.
The war on religion is multi-faceted. Some of the attacks are well disguised and are not recognized for what they are. One of those assaults is seemingly harmless. It is the effort to elevate the stature of animals, to do so until they are equal to man. The implication here is that if animals are equal to man, then man is just another animal roaming mother earth. This ideology excludes the Christian concept of man having special gifts from a Creator, namely free will.
This idea of animals having equality with man is propagated endlessly by movies, television, and all media. Below, I have compiled a few examples of screwball animal stories taken in the last few months.

Everyone likes animals but these kinds of stories are an attempt to advance an ideology, one that will put animals on an equal footing with man, one that is anti-Christian. Just about everyone likes animals and as children we indulged our fantasies about them but outgrew those fantasies when we got older. Today, thanks to pseudo-science, and organizations such as PETA and the Humane Society, those fantasies persist long after childhood.
