Whether the twin towers were brought down by planes or bombs or something out of science fiction, we don’t know. We do know, however, that the 9-11 event was the catalyst that sent the U.S. to war in the Middle East. Within a month our armies were on the way to Afghanistan.

You can be sure that the Iraq war was planned long before 9-11. It had to be the most unjustified war or military engagement we have ever been in. Considering the 10 years of sanctions on Iraq, the no-fly zones, and the invasion and occupation, we are responsible for the deaths of probably hundreds of thousands of people.
Since Congress gets lied to by every administration, I don’t know whether to fault them or not. When Congress passed the Authorization for Use of Military Force Against Iraq Resolution of 2002, most members may have been unwitting dupes. At least I hope so.

Was the destruction of the World Trade Center an “inside job”?  There are plenty of reasons to make you wonder.
